Mount Royal University Centennial

On December 16, 2010 Lee Richardson, Member of Parliament  for Calgary Centre joined Alberta Premier Ed Stelmach, Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi and Mount Royal University (MRU) President Dave Marshall in celebrating Mount Royals’ 100th Birthday.

Founded in 1910 by Dr. George W. Kerby, Mount Royal is Calgary’s first post-secondary institution.
Today some 12,000 credit students take a variety of programs and courses including bachelor’s degrees, applied degrees, university transfer courses, diplomas and certificates.
Currently, MRU comprises thirteen schools and faculties including the Bissett School of Business, the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Communications Studies, and the Conservatory (Music).
