Recently I met with Finance Minister Jim Flaherty to present the results of my consultations with constituents. 
I would like to thank the several dozen people who took the time to pass along their suggestions, ideas and concerns regarding the upcoming Budget 2011. 
Their contributions were invaluable to me and in turn the Finance Minister in his preparations.  Most suggestions were for minor revisions to the tax system and ideas for spending reductions. 
The Minister was impressed with many of the ideas and I think it is quite possible more than one could make it through to the final version of the Budget.
