Recently our Government announced the expansion of the “Wanted by the CBSA” web page and asked Canadians to help in identifying 32 individuals who have failed to comply with the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and have been convicted for acts of serious criminality in Canada.
Our Government received a strong mandate from Canadians to keep our streets and communities safe while maintaining the integrity of our immigration system.
Canada’s doors are open to people who want to come to our country to work hard and play by the rules for the chance at a better life for themselves and their families.
Canada's doors are not open to those who break the law or endanger the safety of our citizens.
Recently, our Government sought the public’s help to identify and remove individuals with outstanding warrants for suspected war crimes and human rights abuses. These efforts led to the successful apprehension of six individuals and removal of three individuals.
Now we are enlisting the help of the public to identify individuals who have failed to comply with the “Immigration and Refugee Protection Act” and have criminal convictions in Canada, and who have attempted to remain in the shadows of Canada’s legal system. No more.
In identifying these individuals through photos and pertinent information, as well as publishing their identities on the CBSA Website, we hope to identify these suspected criminals and end their abuse of our immigration system.
