The federal budget...

At the time of writing , Finance Minister Jim Flaherty is conducting broad national pre-budget consultations. With a federal budget set to be delivered on Tuesday January 27 – six weeks earlier than usual – the government is carefully listening to Canadians to prepare a budget that responds to the global financial crisis and considers our nation’s diverse needs. will bring forward a smart stimulus plan with targeted spending and tax cuts to make a real difference forincludingaccelerated infrastructure investments, improved competitiveness and strengthened financial markets.

These are difficult times but we are prepared. government is acting and will come out of this difficult period stronger than ever before.
