The House of Commons resumed sitting on January 29th and Canada’s New Government is continuing to implement our ambitious agenda. Members of Parliament have a full legislative calendar to work through, an agenda focused on economic prosperity and competitiveness, the environment, democratic reform, a stronger presence on the world stage and ensuring safe streets and communities.

Building on Finance Minister Flaherty’s December fiscal update, our government will soon introduce a fiscally responsible budget that maintains our commitment to reducing the tax and debt burdens Canadians face. We will continue to deliver on our promises and spending will be focused on the priorities of Canadians.
