MP Lee Richardson is joined by fellow Alberta MP’s Jim Prentice and Devinder Shory at a budget consultation meeting in Calgary Calgary, AB- - The Honourable Jim Prentice, Minister of the Environment and the Minster Responsible for Southern Alberta held a roundtable discussion in Calgary today with representatives from small and medium enterprises in Southern Alberta to discuss the next steps in Canada’s Economic Action Plan. Throughout the next several weeks government caucus members will be conducting comprehensive consultations with Canadians on Phase II of Canada’s Economic Action Plan, leading up to the next Throne Speech. “As our government works towards the next phase of our Economic Action Plan it is important to consult with Canadians from coast to coast to coast on the issues that are of top priority,” said Minister Prentice. “We must ensure Canada emerges from the global economic downturn and that our economy remains our focus.” As we enter Phase II of Canada’s Economic Action plan, the Government of Canada’s priority will be to continue the rapid implementation of the Economic Action Plan and roll out the remaining stimulus projects across the country. At the same time, we are also looking ahead to future challenges, especially restoring balanced budgets once our economy is fully recovered and building a strong foundation for future economic growth. Over the course of the next several weeks, Prime Minister Harper, Minister Flaherty and the rest of the Conservative caucus will be meeting with and hearing from Canadian families, homeowners, workers, business-owners and industries from across the country about how best to meet our goals for Phase II of Canada’s Economic Action Plan. Already, close to 200 roundtables, town hall meetings, online consultations and other events are planned throughout the country, concluding with a new Throne Speech on March 3. | February 22, 2010 Lee Richardson, member of parliament for Calgary centre participates in the kick off of an important pilot project which will help people living with mental health concerns in Calgary gain employment and avoid homelessnessFebruary 10, 2010 Government of Canada supports Arts and Culture in AlbertaFebruary 05, 2010 New research facility to reduce the environmental footprint left by the Alberta Oil Sands IndustryJanuary 30, 2010 Calgary MP’s meet with small & medium enterprises in Southern Alberta to hear budget suggestionsJanuary 28, 2010 Federal government Invests In Olympic plaza to benefit CalgariansJanuary 05, 2010 Fall 2009 accomplishmentsDecember 18, 2009 Recreational Infrastructure in Southern Alberta Receives Government of Canada SupportDecember 07, 2009 Become a parliamentary guide in Ottawa this summer…December 02, 2009 Excerpts from the new study guide from Citizenship and Immigration Canada for new Canadians...November 27, 2009 MP Richardson announces biodiesel winter testing project at CN RailNovember 27, 2009 Government of Canada supports crime prevention efforts in Calgary and surrounding areaNovember 06, 2009 Announcing job skills training funding for Calgary YouthNovember 06, 2009 MP Lee Richardson makes remarks at citizenship ceremony at Calgary Military Museums SocietyOctober 29, 2009 Results in the battle against gangs and organized crime…October 23, 2009 Announcing Funding for Mount Royal University’s Tobacco Ressation ProgramOctober 14, 2009 Announcing Funding for Ecoaction for Calgary Enivironmental ProjectsOctober 02, 2009 The Fall fiscal Update...September 04, 2009 Take Advantage of the Home Renovation Tax Credit...July 09, 2009 Session recap...June 15, 2009 June 2009 HouseholderJune 02, 2009 ANNOUNCING FUNDING TO FAST TRACK IMPROVEMENTS TO CALGARY’S TRANSIT SYSTEM.
